One Week Old

Becca has really turned a corner with Rachel I think. When she first came to the hospital she looked at Rachel and said "baby, like it!". Then when she saw that she was coming home with us, she changed her mind a bit. Now that Rachel has been home for a week, I think she is starting to like her again. Anyway these were some cute pictures taken, I love the one with my 2 girls!

Rachel Lauren Lord

She made it! Born on Thursday 02/21/2008 at 9:25 am, weighing 8 lbs 12oz, and 19 inch. Long! She came a little early, which is great because she was already 8 lbs! My water broke on wed. afternoon, I called Nathan at the office not sure about what to do. I then called my Dr. and he told me to come in and get checked. Nathan came to get Becca and I, and we took off to the hospital. When we arrived they did some tests to check my water levels, and I was low. Hours later I still was not having any contractions, so they started me on Pitocin to get me started into labor. It took all night to get contractions going, and by morning it was becoming very painful! I finally was going to have them give me an epidural (I really didn't want to, I'm afraid of needles). But right as they sent the guy into give me one, I felt like I had to push! It was kinda scary I didn't think I could hold her in anymore, the nurses were scrambling trying to get everything set up and get my Doctor in there! Anyway I was in so much pain that I was determined to get Rachel out quick, so it took me about 4 minutes and she came flying out (not kidding). Her whole body all at once, no one was expecting that. So there you have it all the wonderful details, that I am sure you wanted to know. It was so incredible to see her once she came, it really is just like looking at a piece of heaven. She is such a sweet, sweet little girl I can't believe how much love I have for this little person!

Happy Valentines Day!

Today I was looking outside, and kinda sad that there was snow (I never thought I would ever ever say this). I think that if I could be out in it it would be different, but being 37 weeks prego doesn't really sound too appealing. Anyway, so I was looking at some pictures from our honeymoon, and thinking how much fun we had in San Diego. It really got me excited about trying to plan a trip for this summer to go back with not 1 but 2 little munchkins! I seriously love Disney Land, when I think of vactation that is what I think of, the beach and Disney Land. So anyway I just thought I would share these photos from our honeymoon trip to San Diego (I had to scan them so the quality isn't great). Hope all of you have a happy Valentines Day! I love you Nathan, thank you for being such a great dad, and husband!

Blanket ?

This might seem kinda lame to some of you, but I really am having a hard time on this choice. Do I go pink & brown or green & brown? Does the green look like a boy blanket? You might also think who cares it is just a blanket, however I picked this one because it says it is durable (and Cute!) Becca is a total blanket baby, and will not go anywhere or go to sleep with out hers! We have already had to fix her blanket (it was falling apart). So that is my story behind the blanket. For any of you having a baby (or have one) go to babystyle.com great finds!

Love Lauren

p.s. happy Love Month :)

5 Feet Of Snow!

These pictures will not do it justice! Today we received 2 more feet of snow on top of the other 3 feet we already had! It is incredible! The trees out front are buried in the snow. Someone with a tractor was nice enough to come remove the snow off our driveway so we could get out. Anywho here are some pictures I tried to take, as you can see Becca doesn't look too happy (not a snow baby). Church was canceled for us today, so we got to enjoy hanging out together and not doing a single thing.
