Happy Thanksgiving!

This years Thanksgiving was great, really really enjoyed it. When I got up that morning I started to prepare our big bird, and get our turkey stock going, the house smelled sooooo good....:) Nathan took Becca and Rachel over to play football with some of the guys in our ward. While they were out playing Livy was down for a nap, so I had some music playing and just enjoyed being in the kitchen. My mom came over later that afternoon to start helping. I swear I was in the kitchen all day, it just takes that long! I even did a lot of prep work the day before...crazy! But so worth it! About half way through all the cooking and baking I ask my self every year "Why did I want to do this"? Then when I finally sit down to enjoy that heavenly food I remember clearly :) I Love Thanksgiving, I can't wait for it to come again next year :)

A few pictures from Thanksgiving day...I forgot to get a picture of all the fabulous food we enjoyed :( Man it was GOOD!

Lucious and Livy having a bath... He likes to come into the bathroom when the girls take baths it's so funny, one time he jumped in with Rachel.

The girls heading out to play football :) And the their Thanksgiving table.

Happy 1st birthday Livy bugs! And more.......

Our little Livy bugs turned 1!!! I really can't believe it!  She brings so much life into our home. She is just full of spunk and fun! A few things about our birthday girl....

She loves to giggle
She loves to be chased, and can crawl at incredible speeds
She is so vocal, if she is happy or sad you, and the next door neighbors will know it
She loves LOVES her sisters
She love Lucius (our cat)
She loves milk, and bananas
She loves to be held
She has about a thousand nicknames.... The Little Liver Lovers, Livers, Ollie, The Big O, Livy, Livia, Liver buns, Liberonnie. My favorite one is how Rachel says it "Where is the Wittle Wiver Wovers mom"?

The girls love her to pieces and practically maul her every time she wakes up from a nap, but I don't think Livy minds one bit! We sure love our  little Liver Lovers!!

A few funny quotes from Rachel....

We were at 5 guys getting dinner one night, and when we asked Rachel what she wanted on her hamburger she replied with " I want sausage and pickles."

While driving to Target the other day Ray Who said "Mom did Jesus make the uarth (earth)? And did he makes the stores for people to shop at? Did he make Target mom? "

HA HA! I love the way her little mind thinks!

We lit our first fire of the season this past weekend, and it just makes everything so much cozier. I love having a wood burning fireplace, I love this time of year! I love having 3 little munchkin, 2 of which are filled with excitement for the holidays! I love having a sexy man of a husband who makes life so great for us! He is the worlds greatest dad! Love you Nathan!

One last quote from Becca

We had a big Thanksgiving dinner the other night at Nathans aunt Melanie's house. The next day Becca said, " Oh baby I can't wait to have Thanksgiving again in a couple of days! The food is so good! "  Could not agree more :)

Happy Thanks giving to all!

By the way if your children have not already done so, they must see The Charlie Brown Thanksgiving about the pilgrims.

Becca had a friendship feast at school. They got to dress up like Indians, she thought it was pretty cool :)

Trick or Treat

We had a lot happen over Halloween weekend....
Friday night was our ward Halloween party
Saturday was the Lord family Halloween party
Monday Becca had a school costume parade, and her classroom had a party, that same afternoon her dance class had a costume party...needless to say that by the time we went trick or treating the girls already had a rather large stash of candy waiting for them at home :).

Halloween night was a blast! We had some friends and family over for dinner before the tricks and treats began. As you may recall last year I went on and on about this neighborhood right by us that is pretty much the most amazing trick or treating experience you will ever have....Well this year did not disappoint. Poor Rachel was feeling pretty sick by the end of the night though. I swear we have been sick at our house hold for the last 3 weeks by the way, and I am pretty much sick of it! I take that back.... I'm not pretty much sick of it I am SICK of it :) Anyway we ended the evening back at our place with some hot apple cider and a scary flick. By the way Taryn I still don't forgive you for making me watch that show, it still haunts me! Stupid creepy zombies!

Hope your Halloween was amazing! I'm pretty much ready for Christmas now:) Okay that's not entirely true. I LOVE Thanksgiving, I just like to combine the two holidays. I love to enjoy my Christmas decor longer than a month. I know I have mentioned it before but I love to serve Thanksgiving dinner by candlelight and with the glow of our Christmas tree lights......:) I can't wait!! Thanksgiving is my favorite meal to prepare, I truly look forward to it.

On our way to the ward party
