The girls

I want to write down some of the funny little things the girls say/do these days before I forget....I'm sure I've already forgotten about half of what I wanted to write down already!

Becca

Really likes to call people on the phone these days....even at 6:30 in the morning. Sorry if you were on the receiving end of one of these early morning calls :-) She especially likes to call adults. She called her primary president all on her own the other week asking her if she could give a talk, and have an activity afterwords. It was adorable.

We enrolled becca in a mad science class that takes places after school every Tuesday that she just loves. She comes home so excited to tell us what she learned, and how cool science is. This girl really does loves to learn...when it doesn't interrupt her pretend play time that is. She takes her play time very seriously, and gets very frustrated and discouraged (and emotional) when there is not enough time in the day to make believe, or craft.

She loves cafe rio salad. Like a lot. I have been making big batches of cafe rio fixings to have for lunches all week long for the past month. Becca can eat a huge, and I mean HUGE helping of it. This girl can eat, and is always hungry! I can't get enough food down her lately. Growth spurt? You wouldn't know it by looking at her rail thin little body. Where does all that food go I think to myself?

At night I like to go into the girls cozy bedroom and read stories with them. Lately though Becca likes to go snuggle up on mom and dads bed with a book and have quiet time to herself. I totally understand this behavior as I can be the same way. She will express (usually in the evenings) that she really just wants to have some quiet time. And be left alone.

Rachel

This girl really loves to tease. Have I mentioned this before :-)? She loves to makes us laugh too. She will make funny faces or rhyme really funny words together and just die laughing at herself. I love it. She's constantly saying "mom watch this" or "mom what rhymes with ____?" then laugh at herself while she fills in the blank with some silly word.

She has also learned how to pick up the phone and give people a call, thanks to Becca. She mostly wants to call Nathan and give him the latest update on what she is doing that day....it's pretty dang cute if you ask me.

Loves her select few little people (toys.) Becca on the other hand never really liked toys, so having a kid that loves them was new to us. She has also learned the art of trade. She has traded and bartered with her sisters to get the toys they don't really care about, that she then loves to death and takes under her wing. She has to have one of her beloved toys with her at all times. I was that way. I especially loved stuffed animals, which my last two daughters have seemed to take on. I still find myself wanting to buy those cute stuffed enormous teddy bears, or stuffed Disney dolls. If I haven't grown out of it by now, I'm not sure I ever will.

Rachel loves her sisters. She loves to give Livy bugs hugs and get my attention to show me how cute livy is being. She loves to be with Becca when she gets home from school. She misses her most days. This girl loves to love. She can be fierce on either end of the spectrum. She really loves you, or is extremely mad at you. But is quick to get over it most of the time and quickly returns to loving you.

Livy

This girl....she just makes me laugh. Such a stinker, and such a stinking cutie!! She loves to cuddle into you and be cheesy, and give kisses, then smack you in the face and make a run for it laughing all the way. I love when we read stories " want torys " in her words. She comes over and plops right in your lap and lets you read a few pages before she quickly takes over the story telling herself.

She loves to eat too. When she wakes up in the morning I go get her out of the crib and she takes my face in her pudgy little hands and whispers "want eats" then I'll say "you want to eat"? Then she says "yesh" really quietly and perks right up.

She is still completely and utterly in love with cats, kitty's any type of feline. She had her eye on Rachel's new hello kitty from build a bear. And recently got her wish with a switch of her "gumbo" or dumbo to Rachel for her kitty. Rachel was taken with Livys gumbo and so the trade took place, and I think they are both pretty happy about it.

She puts up a real resistance to naps as of late, and will talk and talk the nap away. I then have to go in and swaddle her like a newborn, so that she has nothing else better to do than nap! I need to invest in some black out blinds I think. We love her regardless :-)

Friday means movie and make your own pizza night at our house as of late.

Valentines day

Well we had a successful valentines day I think with the kiddos. We made them some pancakes for breakfast, and had some fun packages to open. That evening we loaded up the girls and headed to my parents house to have a Fun V-day dinner for the adult siblings and their significant others. We made a fun picnic area downstairs with quesadillas and cantaloupe for the kids, complete with a movie. The adults then sat down to eat a tenderloin, and crab leg dinner feast:-) So mean I know. I spent a good part of that afternoon making a cake, which we then ate after dinner.

Nathan took me out for a fun night of chocolate tasting earlier that week for our little valentines celebration. I love him :-)

Little RayWho turned 5..

I can't believe our we little Rachel turned the big 5 last month! That morning we had some yummy muffins to start the day, she was also exempt from any chores on her daily chore chart. We called her queen for a day, she ate that right up. I think it's the start of a new tradition in this house hold. That afternoon I took Rachel and Livy over to the goodwill to find some fun books (one of our favorite activities) then Nathan came home in time for us to all go pick Becca up from school. From there we went to build a bear workshop. Rachel has been asking for the last few months to go, and has been so excited! She picked out a hello kitty doll and decked her out in beautiful clothes. Livy was green with envy for Rachel's new kitty cat :-) I'm hoping she will get over it someday. So far the last few weeks have consisted of Livy sneaking around trying to steal the kitty cat anytime Rachel isn't looking, then sending Rachel into a screaming meltdown.....so fun. To finish the birthday off that evening we had the Bryson Lord family over for some cupcakes, ice cream and games. We were celebrating her cousin Madeline's birthday for that month as well. We love our little RayWho, she brings so much spunk, and love into our family.

Trying to get the goofy girls (filled to the brim with sugar) off to bed that night. I love them more then they will ever know.
