Something spooky and gooey

Today we have been making some Halloween art. I was at Michaels last week, and they had these Halloween foam stickers that had to come home with me. The girls and I have put them to good use. I had to make another trip to buy 3 more buckets of fun! Last weekend Leslie my mother in law took the girls for a good part of the day, and made these stinking cute candy corn tree crafts with the girls, they sure love there Nana :). Can I just tell you how great she is? She is pretty great! We also made some soft sticky, gooey, yummy, caramel corn this morning.......Oh heavens, this stuff is so addicting, very very bad. Did I mention this is the second time I have made in the last week? I think we will kick off the fall, Halloween festivities tonight by sitting down with the girls to watch "The Great Pumpkin" and eat our treat! I love this time of year.......

Lost and found

So today was a great day, I uncovered a few things very dear to me that I thought were lost....First being my patriarchal blessing, second being our Wedding video that my dad made for us, that I just LOVE! While I wont share the first of what I found with you, I will share our wedding video. It may not be exciting for you, but I am totally EXCITED! enjoy:)

p.s. A few things, one I act like a total dork in this video, secondly the video says it's 8 1/2 minutes long, when really it's 5 minutes.....

And now, a glimpse into the baby's new room, more pics to follow when I am done:)
I painted the bedrooms last weekend, and last night I finished painting this little tree....that I LOVE!

Another before and After shot

So the other night Nathan and I were sitting in the front room, and I for a while have been wanting to put a real mantel on the fireplace. I said something like "hey I have an idea for this fireplace, would you want to do that for me?" To my surprise (only because of the short notice) he said something like "ya alright" And within an hour he was at home depot! So here is how it turned out, I think it looks fantastic! He amazes me with his many talents, I mean it honestly looks like a professional came in and did it. He did some bead-board inlay over top of the tile that was there before, and then he built an mantel around that. Have a look! I also put in a funny pic of the girls because they are so stinking cute!

Tah Dah!

Changing colors

I am referring to may hair. A boring post but a post non the less. I decided to go dark, which I tend to do this time of year so to me it is just normal. Dark hair may not look super great on me, but I don't  care I like the change:). Sorry for the blurry picture, it was taken on my computer camera, so that explains it.

Hope all of you had a wonderful Labor day. Nathan and I worked on the house a lot over the long weekend, we made a lot of good headway! I can't wait till we are done so that I can show you how awesome it is looking!  We went up on Saturday night to Park City for a family date night, Becca loves to go on dates! She was sad though because she was not wearing a dress, she explained "I do not look fancy for my date I feel sad"... funny funny girl, makes me laugh. Rachel on the other hand had somehow made it up the canyon with out shoes? Nathan carried her around on his shoulders everywhere. Because of this our date consisted of.... getting pizza on main street, then going into the bookstore right by the Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory, we wanted to find a fun Halloween book like we did last year. We then went to the chocolate factory, then headed for home:). On Sunday we drove up to Midway just for fun, and packed a picnic for dinner. We found a nice park, and had some yummy food, then read scriptures with the girls and headed for home. Last night after a long day of working on the house we had a campfire in our back yard, and had hot dogs and marshmallows, it was a good weekend. I was sad this morning when I realized Nathan had to go back to work boo who! Oh well someone has to make the money :). That is all I am sorry I did not document pictures from the weekend events.
