Merry Christmas

I'm still listening to Christmas music in case anyone was wondering:-) I'm not ready to Be done yet. I love the glow of the colored lights in the kitchen, and the the quiet reverent music in the morning. I have just really enjoyed this Christmas season. I love the snow, I even love driving in it.

We did some fun activities this year with the girls. We made it to see the lights at temple (even if we were all a little grumpy leaving) Nathan took me to the Kurt bestor Christmas concert, which is a tradition I love doing with him each year. We took the girls to The Grand America one night to look at their fun window displays. They also had free hot chocolate stations set up all over the place :) yum. We had hot chocolate at home just about every day. We did some sledding. My parents have a great little sledding hill in their back yard, which was perfect for the girls. We decorated gingerbread homes, took a ride on the Polor Express, had family parties...... But I think one of my favorite little memories from this season, was loading up in the car with the girls taking Beck to and from school and listening to Christmas music, and singing with them. The minute we got in the car Rachel or Beck would say "can we listen to the Christmas station please!?" I also loved hanging in our pjs and watching Christmas shows, with the munchkins.

Good by Christmas, I already can't wait to celebrate again next year....

Beccas school Christmas sing along.
Lord family Christmas party. Livy was baby Jesus, Rachel was Mary and Beck was an angel.

Christmas shopping with my mom and sister on a very snowing day :)

Riding on the polor express!

Bought our very first car after 8 years of being married! We were pretty excited about it :-)

At my parents house watching Rudolph the red nose reindeer with the cousins.

Thanksgiving, and some happy birthdays too.

The month of November was great! I really felt a lot of gratitude in my heart for this holiday we get to celebrate. The girls and I must have watched a Charlie Brown Thanksgiving at least a dozen times. It was what the girls wanted to watch when Beck got home from school each day. I love the simplicity of that cartoon. It gives the girls an idea of what the pilgrims went through to get to this new land, and the hardships they faced. It reminded me (everyday) how wonderful it is to have the freedoms, and comforts we enjoy today.

On Thanksgiving day I made a turkey, stuffing, gravy and mashed potatoes. Leslie (my other mom) invited her sister Jan and her family to join us, along with Grammy and Nathan's brother Bryson his wife Summer and their kiddos. We set up a large table, and ate a rather large feast of yummy food. Everyone brought pies and other side dishes of good eats. We talked and played games, the kids ended the evening piled on a couch watching a movie. It was a good day.

We had a second Thanksgiving dinner up at my parents home the following Sunday. We feel so thankful for family that is so close by. It's fun getting together when we all get the chance. Our girls love their cousins and grandparents more then they love us I think :)

We also celebrated a few birthdays this November! Livy turned the big 2! Seriously can't get over that. Nathan turned 31. Man he is old :-) We didn't do anything to fabulous, just a little family dinner, and a few presents. It was just perfect, and I think both Livy and Nathan enjoyed their special day.

Sporting her new birthday attire :)
Decorating the table with our thankful tree.
Becca wrote a sweet little love note on my grocery list. I love her.
Waiting for turkey! Hurry it up please :)
Rachel was the last man standing on Thanksgiving day. She was dedicated to finishing her "thankful house"
Happy birthday my sexy man! Xoxo

Life happens

Ok so the real problem here is that instead of blogging lately I Instagram, or hop of that devil of a site Pinterest! When really I should get back to documenting my little families life happenings.

I left off last in October. I love this time of year. I love the cooling weather, and the beautiful trees changing colors. I love it ALL! I love the stage in life where Becca, Ray and Livy are at. I love that Beck and Rach get so excited for the holidays! And Livy not knowing why gets just as excited :) That girl acts like she is just as big as her sisters. She walks around they house like she owns it. She is the boss man, and we are her wingmen. I love how different each of their personalities are.

This year we did the Boo at the Zoo, It was fun. We went with the Lord extended family. We also had a ward Halloween party, that the girls loved. We did our annual pumpkin carve up Millcreek canyon with my side of the family (it was freezing). Becca had a costume parade at her school. And last but not least good old trick or treating in the neighborhood close by. We went trick or treating with our good friends the Richardson's, and my sister and her kiddos joined us as well. We had donuts, and apple cider afterwards :) I didnt get a single picture of trick or treating....oh well?
