Garden

This weekend, we were able to get our delectable plants planted :) I can not wait to have a garden tomato...Hmmmmm. I picked out 8 heirloom tomato varieties, that I just know are going to be mighty tasty! Anyway moving on from describing how tasty and yummy tomatoes are.

Our ward had a carnival this weekend, that our girls were SOOO excited about! Excited might actually be an understatement.......Is there a one upper word for excited??? Did that even make sense? Anyway, after we left that happy event Rachel turned into a little monster! Man she was not a happy camper about leaving! However once we got home she ate a bowl of cereal and crashed for the night.

I was at Downeast Home a few days ago, and found exactly what I had set out to find...Now how often does that happen really?? It was awesome! I took all three girls with me into Downeast and I found a lantern that had the right size and look I was after and left with in 10  minutes of arriving! I have a picture of my happy find.

Today has been a great day, it really has. After church all three girls, and Nathan along with myself had a afternoon much needed nap. Then the girls, and I made 4 loaves of banana bread because we had a shelf full of over ripe bananas.....The girls decided they did not care for that fruit this week. Then after dinner the girls went to bed ( I say "the girls" a lot don't I). Nathan and I have been enjoying a quiet evening at home. I snapped a picture of Nathan outside lounging on a chair. I love that he is there just hanging out with all his chickens running around him! I just love that man:)

P.S. I am sorry a lot of your comments got deleted from my last post, that wasn't me I promise, something is wrong with blogger. Is anyone else having trouble editing their blog site??

Heavenly....

Heavenly is the word I would use to describe life right now...Spring has finally arrived and it is beautiful! I love that the girls can go frolic (yes I said frolic) out in our backyard, that has over night it seems turned into paradise! You can smell blossoms the second you open the back door. I have been opening the windows in every room in the house to let that glorious smell in! I love being outside with the girls and watching them play in the grass and pick a gazillion flowers...I LOVE it!

last weekend, we did a back yard spring clean, when I say "we" I meant Nathan :) and the boys who came to mow the huge lawn we have, bless there hearts! Then Nathan and I along with all three girls went to home depot to pick up flowers, and soil to get our garden ready!!! AHH So excited!! I got about 8 Lavender plants that I can not wait to plant! I wish we could own that huge field behind us so that I could fill it with lavender!

I am ready to bring on the spring and summer months! I love to roast marshmallows in our fire pit, and take the girls swimming all day! I love it when Nathan and I can go and play tennis together! I love being able to set the table on our back patio and enjoy dinner alfresco. I love that the day light hours are longer so we can stay outside longer and just enjoy it's beauty. I love when family and cousins come into town! I love the tradition I started...It involves the movie "Jaws" :) When summer is upon us I make Nathan, my mom and dad, along with my brother and sister, along with there boy friends and girl friends....that was a mouth full! I make them all come over for a BBQ, and then we watch Jaws! That movie cries summer time to me, so I love to starts the season off as scared as possible, reminding me that I never want to swim in the ocean again :-). Haha sick I know.

Becca is going to start ballet this summer, she is so excited! She truly is so graceful, she will make an excellent ballerina. Livia is growing like a weed. I bought her a 12 month size swim suit, and it is TOO SMALL! LOL! Rachel, also seems to be growing up more and more these days... :( Man I Love those girls! There is nothing better in life then being their momma!

Here are a few pictures from the last few weeks. I made some new art work that I took pictures of. I am working on getting my food blog up and going, so I will post on that soon! Hope everyone has a great week, and is enjoying this wonderful spring weather!
