The Nutcracker & the tree!

Last night Nathan took Becca and I to the Nutcracker. I am pretty sure Becca was glowing the whole time. She was so excited to go out on a date with us! She loves ballerinas, loves them! She was literally on the edge of her seat watching the show and did not want it to end. Nathan has been so excited to take her, honestly it was the cutest thing to hear him talk about how excited he was. At the end of the show Becca gave both of us a big hug and said "thank you for taking me to my special ballet, mom & dad".....We both wanted to break into tears at that point. It was such a fun evening! Thanks again Leslie for watching Rachel:). Today we went and got a small Charlie Brown tree for our little room off the kitchen. We have our main tree downstairs, but thought it would be fun to have one that the girls could decorate. We had a double bonus of finding Santa at our tree lot! Becca was incredibly happy to see him, Rachel....was not:). I stood by her while Nathan took the picture, I am pretty sure she was frozen in fear.

Ho cute! I am so happy that she loved the show. That's incredible that she actually could sit there and watch the whole thing (I get kinda tired of sitting there...it's not super exciting). Kudos to being such wonderful parents!

How fun Lauren! I'm sure she absolutely loved going with her cute parents. That tree is adorable too. What a great idea to get one for them to decorate. We always watch Charlie Brown Christmas every year!

I just had to say, Lauren, that you look SUPER cute in these pics. Way to go, HOT MAMA! And Becca looks adorable in that little jacket. So fun. And I love that idea about letting the kids decorate their own tree. They are ALWAYS trying to redecorate mine. And I have to say, it just doesn't look as cute when they do. Ha ha. Maybe I will copy you AGAIN. Surprised?

We love the Nutcracker! Parent/child dates are amazing...Miss M still talks about the time Big B took her for a birthday lunch, when she was 4 like Rebecca :) They do remember so much of what we do - and the love that they feel when we do these activities! Keep enjoying the Christmas season!
