Switzerland

I know I know, I have been really awful at blogging. I really do have a lot of good excuses really :) No but seriously though I finally found an app that works well with my iPad, that sounds lame but honestly it has been ridiculously hard for me to figure out a blogging app.

Anyway I will start with the trip to Switzerland that Nathan and I took. It was fantastic! I would be lying if I said it wasn't hard being away from the girls, I cried several nights in a row. It was hard knowing how far away from them I was, by the end of the trip I felt incredibly anxious to get home. Aside from that I truly had such a great time. It was absolutely beautiful! It was unreal how beautiful it was. We spent the majority of our trip in a little town called Wengen. Our hotel was tucked right up against the Swiss alps, which was breathtaking, there were green rolling hills everywhere with cows everywhere, grazing all day long. You could hear the happy sound of cow bells ringing any place you went. Every home had a huge garden with cute little fences surrounding them, and piles and piles of very neatly stacked wood. In the town of Wengen it is against the law to have a car, so you took a train pretty much everywhere, or walked. We took several long hikes and tram rides on our trip to see the alps. We ate a ton of food, and chocolate :) I loved going to the bakery that was close by our hotel, they had the most amazing apple struesel...mmmmmm. It was pretty cold most of the days we were there, and I loved it! It really felt like fall to me....I can't wait to go back someday.

I can't believe you took all those photos - they are straight out of a travel magazine! Sounds like heaven!
