January gets a bad rap in my humble opinion. Again I know people think I am weird, but I truly love cold weather. I am relishing in not getting ready most days. I like to stay bundled in my robe, cozy slippers, and hang around the house with the girls. Nothing exciting, by that's ok I like it that way in the winter. Nathan and I have talked multiple times this season on how we would love a true hibernation. Having a place that gets snow everyday, a big wood burning fire, and just hunker down till spring time :-).
I have not really updated on what Livy is up to these days. She talks more and more all the time, in the cutest little voice ever. Though in contrast she sure can scream, and really knows how to throw a good tantrum! She still loves anything involving kitty cats. One of my favorite things she does lately is when she takes her pudgy little hands, grabs your face, and pulls it to hers, and she will whisper a bunch of stuff that doesn't make any sense. It's stinking adorable!! Nathan will sometimes bring Livy into me in the mornings when she wakes up (and im still dead asleep) she will lay her squishy face on mine, and just hug me, then act really cheesy, squeezing her eyes shut, and smiling....oh my goodness. At night before I can go to sleep I have to go check on the girls, HAVE to! I just sit and stare at Livy, wishing so badly that she will stop growing, that this baby phase will not end...her sweet nappy hair, soft pudgy cheeks, and hands. Her toothy grin, and diaper bum. The way she talks, and wants to be be held. I love it all...Maybe it's because she is my last baby. I will always want a baby in the house. I will alway be baby hungry.
Next month rachel will be 5. She could not be more excited. I again am reminded that my children will be one year older, and my time with them at home will end in the blink of an eye. Rachel is such a good big sister to Livy, and loves to be with her older sister Becca every waking minute possible. She and I have very similar personalities. I was so much like her as a child. All except the brains :) She is such a smart little girl, Nathan and I just watch her in amazement. She and Becca recently sang together in sacrament meeting. They sang "I'm Trying To Be Like Jesus" Rachel ended up stealing the microphone from Becca and taking over the song. Becca was so patient, though you could tell was upset that Rachel had taken over her part. They are such funny little girls. Rachel can be a bit of a goof, while Becca is very serious and does not like teasing in the least, however Becca does love to tease and have a good laugh :-)
Becca recently attended a fireside meeting to prepare her for getting baptized this year. I can't believe she will be 8 in October. She was so excited for this meeting. She has been reading, the little pamphlet she got over and over again. She has always been one to love church. She doesn't like to miss it, not a single minute of it. The other week during sacrament meeting, she told Nathan that she wanted to sit and listen with out drawing like an adult, and she did. She amazes me with how disciplined she can be at times. She has always been our healthy eater (don't get me wrong she loves sugar too). She also is good about trying new things. When the doctor told us that our girls needed to go with out gluten, she was ok with it. She will ask me if what she is eating is gluten free, and remind me not to give it to her. That's not an easy thing to do, it's hard enough as an adult, but being a kid and being that disciplined is amazing to me.
Nathan and I are pretty crazy about our girls. It's not easy being a parent, but life is not easy, and that's ok.
Sledding up at my parents house with all the cousins for baby Xander, and Sammy's birthdays.
Building forts
Had a get together with high school friends and our kiddos
Winter time is for baking :-)

So fun. I like the cold weather too. Your girls are too much fun!
Your girls are the best - I LOVE hearing about them! And yes, they are growing up WAY too fast! I've been trying harder this year to love winter, and it has been working...a little. :) I do love that "snow day" kind of day where you never leave your jammies or go anywhere - there's something so exciting and cozy about it.
