As I sit here writing my girls are tucked into bed sleeping (I hope) and I am just pondering over to-nights perfection I experienced moments ago. We had dinner together tonight with just our little family. All of the windows and doors were open, letting the most perfectly cool breeze into our home (in this post I will use the word "perfect" a lot, you have been fairly warned). Then as I was cleaning up dishes Nathan was helping the girls get ready for bed, brush teeth, put on jammies, that type of thing. Then Nathan and the girls piled into the bunk beds to read nightly stories. I could hear them in there laughing, and reading as I was doing laundry getting us ready for our little get away trip for the long weekend. And as I was going back and forth hearing happy sounds, and feeling that fabulous crisp air on my skin, topped off with the most perfect evening light streaming into my house....It hit me like a ton a bricks! I am the luckiest person alive, truly I am. In that moment I had a little taste of perfection. Then as if things could not get any better they did :). I was tucking Becca into our bed for the night, and we were going over the days events when Rachel came into the room with a glass of water, and said "Here Becca, dis is for you". Rachel had actually sneaked out of her room, past her dad who was dead asleep in her bed, to come bring her sister a glass of water. My heart pretty much burst when she came in and said that! Then she gave her sister a kiss and said "Goo night Becca I wove you".....I told you Perfection! What a way to end an already perfect evening. Ok I know some of you are thinking enough already, I'm going to throw up if you use that word one more time..... but I don't care I mean what I say. So good night perfection, I thoroughly enjoyed that little glimpse.
Below are some pictures from a book Becca made today. She wanted to make a memory book, and so she did.
I will interpret the following :)
Becca's pre-school, Becca's classroom
Becca and Aria (her friend at school), Becca downstairs (the polka dot snake looking thing is a sheet she wears on her head to look like Rapunzel).
Becca's dance class, Jeremy Drive (our house)
Becca Happy Birthday, Becca's kindergarten room
Lucius (our cat), Becca at The Children s Museum
Becca, Becca & Rachel
Good bye

We all have times that we sit back and think - wow - life is good!! The wonderful part is it feels so perfect for you - and as it's your life, you are the one that matters most on how you feel! Sounds like a dreamy evening :)
Oh. My. Yet again, you've perfectly described a little slice of heaven. I love your little family and your cute life. Your kids really are so sweet. That book is the best - Becca is a really good little artist! So dang cute...
